Rifle Team sketch donated to the Museum

As part of the Army Run 2026 a number of Regimental Alumni participated in the run and honoured the memory of MCpl Mike Touchette who passed away in 2010 at the age of 61.  He served with the Regiment for 35 years and had the unique distinction of serving two tours in Vietnam.  Mike’s passion was marksmanship and he mentored everyone who would listen.  Maj (Retired) Warren Chang donated this piece of artwork that was done by Cpl Gardner from 28 Svc Bn showing the Guards Rifle Team of 2000.  (L-R: Warren Chang, Jeff Kilcollins, Mike Touchette, Sean Gagnon, Steve Tibbits, Mike Lever, Les? Warren and Mike were the backbone of the rifle team for many years and reinvigorated shooting in the regiment.  Another member of the rifle team, Capt Jeff Kilcollins, was also a well know shot who served for 31 years with the Ottawa Police Service mainly with the Tactical team and sadly passed away in 2022 at the age of 57.
