Brigade of Guards Tie

Around 1856, the Household Brigade Cricket Club was given permission to adopt the Royal Racing Colours of blue, red, blue for their tie. The tie was later adopted as that worn by all the regiments of the Household Brigade.

The knot of the tie varies among the several regiments that wear it, and the GGFG adopted that the tie should be knotted with the blue, red, blue being evident. Tie tacks or tie clips are not worn with a Regimental tie. The Regimental tie should not be worn when the court is in mourning.
